Ministry of Environment carried out special inspections in April in World Cup Games hosting cities in order to enhance air quality in those cities.

Among other Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) emission facilities, construction sites, destruction sites, trucks carrying cement, coal or sand, etc. were particularly inspected.

Total 615 cases were found to offend the relevant law. Among the offended cases, 253 cases were given warning, 183 Order of Improvement, 158 Order to Suspend Operation. For serious cases, 130 facilities that neglected to reduce TSP were prosecuted. In addition, facilities whose owners did not report  their modification, and vehicles offended relevant regulation were levied fines.
