'X-Canvas' and 'PAVV' PDP (Plasma Display Panel) TV, 'DIOS' refrigerator, 'Think Master' LCD (liquid crystal display) Monitor, '17 inch flat Braun tube glass' are granted "Environmental Declaration of Products" on May 30 2002. The companies that made those products are Samsung electronics(limited), Samsung Corning(limited) and LG electronics(limited).

To grant "Environmental Declaration of Products",  environmental-friendliness of products was evaluated through Life Cycle Assessment, including resource extraction, production, use of the products and their disposal. As one of the International Organization for Standardization(ISO)'s environmental labels Type III, Environment Management Corporation has implemented this certificate system since this April.

Many developed countries including U.S.A., Canada, Japan and Sweden have implemented this system since 1990s as environmental-friendliness became one of the competitive aspects of products along with their qualities and prices. The system has contributes to improvement of products competitiveness, environmental preservation, increase of recycling and reduction of toxic chemical use in the developed countries. Thus, it is expected to positively impact on environment.
