Ms. PARK Sun-Sook was appointed as the new Vice Minister of Environment on Feb 27 2004.

Vice Minister PARK received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Sejong University, and has outstanding career background in the government, public relations, and civil and women's groups.

Prior to her appointment, Vice Minister PARK served as a chief secretary to the president for public information. She also served as a deputy spokesperson for the National Congress for New Politics, New Millenium Democratic Party's deputy spokesperson for provincial election, a chief editor of the monthly journal JungSe (Political Trends) and a member of Policy Committee for the Korean Women Associations United.
