Bush picks Utah governor to head EPA

President Bush chose Utah Gov. Mike Leavitt on August 11 to head the Environmental Protection Agency. Leavitt, a three-term governor would succeed Christie Whitman, a former New Jersey governor who resigned in May.

Canada’s $1 Billion investment towards the Implementation of the Climate Change Plan

The government of Canada announced an investment plan of $1 billion towards the implementation of the Climate Change Plan for Canada, established on November 21, 2002. Canada has committed more than $3.7 billion to climate change related projects over the past five years, since its ratification on the Kyoto Protocol on December 17 2002.
