ASEAN Environmental Year Ceremony, hosted by the Cambodian Ministry of Environment, was held during March 4 to 5, 2003 in the historic city of Seam Reap, Cambodia.

The ASEAN Environment Year (AEY), a triennial event since 2000, is an ASEAN project aimed at promoting environmental awareness among the populace in the region. The theme for this AEY, "Together Towards Sustainable Development", underlines ASEAN???s commitment to the common goal of sustaining socio-economic development and protecting the environment for our future generations.

The ASEAN Environment Year is an important event in raising environmental awareness of Southeast Asia regions.
