On March 20, Minister Han Wha-jin of the Ministry of Environment inspected the drought and water supply status in Gangneung at the Yeongok Water Purification Plant in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. She emphasized the importance of swiftly advancing the installation of underground reservoir dams in areas prone to frequent droughts due to their geographical characteristics, in order to secure sustainable water resources.

On March 20, Minister Han Wha-jin of the Ministry of Environment visited the planned site for installing underground reservoir dams in Yeongok-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon Province, and urged for the swift implementation of projects to alleviate water scarcity in the Gangneung area.
